3D Printed Lightring and Camera Mount
At the start of 2024 I purchased a dartboard, built my own 3D printed light ring and have been enjoying playing darts. 1 year on I have decided to upgrade my dartboard by printing a new 3D printed light ring with camera mounting arms to enable me to use the autodarts scoring system. This time I benefited from a free design available by Viperman3 on thingyverse. This design is similar to my own design in that it’s printed in multiple segments and slotted+glued together.
I decided to modify Vipermans design to add an angled deflection part to enable the full LED light to be fully directed on the dartboard, previously it was spilling on to the wall. I also added sleeves to each segment join to the design to prevent LED light showing through the segments which can be distracting when you’re throwing each dart. You can find my remix on thingyverse.
Raspberry Pi4B Case
Another requirement of the autodarts system is a computer to host the 3 cameras, autodarts provide a free bit of software you install on a laptop, thinclient or in my case a Raspberry Pi 4B. So further utilising my 3D design and printing skills I created a neat wall mounted box for the Raspberry Pi 4B to be mounted behind my TV, this had to be easily removable so I could easily do any mods or software updates in the future.
